Raised in Hiroshima, Sakino came to the U.S. in 2000. His films, "The Jazz Addict," "Vanity Mirror." "The Spial Ring," and "Orizuru," are screened internationally at various film festivals. Currently, he is working on writing the feature length version of "Orizuru." |

In an time of political turmoil, an American diplomat sent to Hiroshima, a few years before WWII, falls in love with a beautiful Japanese interpreter. Their love is put on hold as he is sent home, only to discover his work in Japan leads to her destruction.
