Born in Kochi, Japan, writer/director Akihiro Kitamura studied filmmaking at the North Carolina School of the Arts and acting directing at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Akihiro wrote, directed, an starred in his first industry feature film, "PORNO," which was shown at various film festivals, where he was hailed as "the most original new filmmaker since Woody Allen." He recently won the "Outstanding Indie Directorial Debut Award" for his 2nd feature film "I'll Be There With You" at this year's LA Indies Film Award 2006. |
